This week’s inspiration is the word Eureka. Now, Eureka, you may think of the sci-fi show which ran for several seasons, but I mean by Eureka is a cry of joy when you discover something new. Archimedes used the word Eureka when he was trying to decide whether the crowns – the King’s crown – had been put in a little silver instead of all gold. He got in the bathtub and did some homework. He realized the water flew over the bathtub and knew how to decide whether the crown contained any silver rather than gold. When he discovered this, he shouted Eureka, running around the town, Eureka – Eureka, I’ve discovered something new.
We all need to discover new things. It keeps our curiosity going, keeps our brains working, and it opens our hearts. Eureka is a cry of joy that you’ve discovered something new. Maybe you ran home from kindergarten excited that you knew how to tie your shoe, which is what I did when I was in kindergarten. I would have yelled Eureka, but I didn’t know the word. I want you to look back at your life and look at all the Eureka moments you’ve had and decide to have tons more. Eureka is a cry of joy for discovering something new, which is why it is this week’s inspiration. It’s all about self-love, people.
