This week’s inspiration is a smiling face. A smiling face says that you have faith in the universe and that you love your life and that you are light-hearted, so to speak. A smiling face is not about how much money you have in your pocket or how many things you own. It’s about how you see yourself and your place in the world.
I had a man who lived across the street from me in New York City. A black man. He lived in a studio apartment filled with junk. He only had two sets of clothes, but he always had a smiling face. He was the wealthiest person that I knew. He never complained about being raised in the South in the 40s and the 50s even though the white people treated him horribly. He always had his smiling face. A smiling face says you know your place in this universe, and you’re willing to see this world as a loving place no matter how people treat you. That’s why a smiling face is this week’s inspiration. It’s all about self-love, people.
