When working on returning to self-love, you’re going to have to become your own best friend. Self-love actually is about love and learning how to love yourself. Now that doesn’t mean it’s about going to the spa, or eating well or going to the gym, or setting boundaries. All of those things are very good things to do but that’s really not about self-love.
Self-love is about learning how to love yourself. How to be compassionate with yourself, How to be able to forgive yourself. How to be able to let go of regrets. In other words, how to literally be your best friend during some of the worst times in your life. Self-love is about learning how to love yourself and how to offer that love to yourself the way you need it. Self-love teaches you to become your own best friend; It’s all about self-love, people.
Note: We often spend our time waiting for our friends to make us feel better. In truth we have the power to love ourselves and to make ourselves feel better.
