When someone says, “people don’t change,” what they are really saying is “I don’t and will never change (and you can’t make me).”.
The truth is people do change –all the time. Unfortunately, the change is often not noticed because it is more of a deepening of their rigid beliefs and behaviors rather than a change that opens them up to a new perspective and new possibilities. The snotty, bratty kid grows up to be the grumpy, contentious old person.
Change happens to everyone living on the planet. It is unavoidable. Life is going to change you. The question is what are you going to do about it?
You can stay on autopilot and let change unconsciously entrench you in your ways, or you can wake up and befriend Change.
Change takes diligence and a strong desire to experience something new. I know that I have changed immensely through the years. It didn’t happen without my conscious participation. I had to work to change, to grow, to expand and to move beyond what I have known. And while it was rarely easy it was always enriching.
Begin to see the energy of change as the gift it was meant to be: For there is no growth or wisdom without change.
And as we become conscious co-creators of our lives, we are all going to realize that
Change is not only our constant companion but our most cherished ally.
And that Consciously embracing change changes everything!
Until next time, be the light the world needs and stay in love for all.
