This week’s inspiration is empathy. Now, empathy is described in the dictionary as the ability to feel another person’s emotions, thoughts, or perspectives. In other words, to walk in someone else’s shoes. The divine was very smart. The divine knew that empathy would connect us to each other. The reason we don’t connect to each other is because we misunderstand each other and refuse to learn what somebody is going through.
I had an issue with a friend. I had a dream. When I was sleeping, I felt what my friend was going through as she was walking up a very steep hill. My heart broke for her. And when I woke up, I had no more resentment for her. I had only empathy for what she was going through. I understood her.
We need to understand the people around us, and empathy is the quickest way to do it. So begin to walk in other people’s shoes. It will take you out of judgment and put you back into compassion. That’s why this week’s inspiration is empathy. It’s all about self-love, people.
