Live larger. When you’re working on returning back to self-love, you’re going to have to come to the point that you no longer make yourself smaller so that other people are more comfortable. Now I used to do this because of the bullies in my life. I would make myself smaller so as not to bother them.
I think women tend to do this more than, but men do it as well. We have to stop making ourselves smaller so that everyone can feel better about themselves. Live larger. The larger we are and the fuller we live our lives, the better example we are to others of how they should live their lives.
So, stop making yourself smaller. Live larger. You’re not helping anyone by doing it. You are actually hurting people by doing it. And you’re telling yourself that there’s something wrong with you, so you need to be smaller. You need to be larger – fuller – more full of life. It’s all about self-love, people.
Note: When you allow others to tell you how to be, you are handing over your power to them. You either do this to feel loved or to feel safe. In either case, making yourself smaller consciously or unconsciously tells you, you are not made right. Do not do this.
