FEELS LIKE OLD TIMES
A young man writes a “memo” attacking women engineers as being not as bright as men because biology makes them “less”.
A candidate running for Congress attacks a man from the press for asking a question he doesn’t like.
The white house has close advisors who believe in conspiracies, white nationalism (racism), and that “might makes right.”
Certain religious leaders embrace a president who pits Americans against each other for the chance to turn back the clock on civil and social advancements.
White nationalist, Alt-right, KKK -all racist- take to the streets and attack clergy in Virginia as the local police just stand by.
Two male world leaders puff up their chests and threaten one another with nuclear obliteration.
None of this new – I have lived through this before.
I just want to remind everyone that out of the turbulent 1960’ and 1970’s, we became a more inclusive society, a more “accepting of differences” society, and a more compassionate society.
This period of unrest is a time of spiritual adjustment. There is always chaos when change is afoot. It is once again time to move past what we have known and expand. A time where we are deciding what kind of world we want to live in. A time where we must confront our inner demons, every one of us, and chose to grow past our fear of others. A time to quit blaming others and instead own and transform our fears.
It is time to get to the higher understanding that it is not necessary for us to all agree on the “right” way to live but it is necessary for us to respect the right of every individual to follow their path towards their greatest good with harm to none. It is the only path the will lead to peace.
I believe in the goodness that resides in the core of humanity. It will prevail.
Keep choosing love and keep moving towards the light. We will come out of this time better than when we entered it. I have seen it before and know it to be true. Make sure you are doing your part by looking in the mirror and making the necessary changes within to expand in love and light.
Until next time be the light the world needs and stay on love for all.
