When I helped three people face the end of their lives, they all had the same regret. They were of different generations and lived different lives, but they all had the same regret: They wished they loved themselves more. I, too, lacked self-love, and after years of reading and doing spiritual, metaphysical, and personal growth work, I finally decided to get to the root of the problem. – My lack of self-love. I was learning that self-love matters.
I was sick of judging myself, doubting myself, and criticizing myself. I wanted to stop allowing others to define me. I was learning that self-love matters, and I was tired of making myself small so others could be comfortable. So I rolled up my sleeves and removed everything standing in my way of loving myself.
When you grow your sense of self-love, your love for others always grows. Love cannot be contained. To love yourself is the most important thing you can do. Why self-love matters is because it not only changes your world but changes the world around you.

Until next time, be the light the world needs and have a love for all.
