In my long life, I have seen many hateful acts, but it is the REBEL ACTS OF  LOVE that changed my heart.

• The brave civil rights marchers of the 1960’s who yearned for fairness and justice.
• The courageous women who took to the streets in the 1970’s to demand their rights as equals to men.
• The outspoken gays who refused to stay in the closet in the 1980’s pressing the country to deal with AIDS ethically and with compassion.

Those decades of my youth shaped my life not because of the hate that was present but because of the grandness of the LOVE and the unwavering determination of that LOVE to be seen and heard.

We need to see and hear that LOVE today.

Only LOVE will calm the seas of fear.

Only LOVE will part the clouds of hate and bigotry.

Only LOVE will bring the light of wisdom.

It all comes down to LOVE.

You have a choice each and every day whether you move through the world in love or hate. Don’t let anyone else make that choice for you. Be honest with yourself if you are carrying pockets of hate or fear towards others and make a new choice today to move towards love. And like the brave rebels of the past, you will become a REBEL OF LOVE.
