This week’s inspiration is tolerance. Tolerance is the conscious choice to allow other people to have differing viewpoints from your own. We desperately need tolerance in this world. We need to allow other people the path they’ve chosen to walk on without criticizing them or judging them. Tolerance means you allow another person to believe what they need to believe at this point in their life without condemning them. Tolerance, especially spiritual tolerance, means you allow another person to hold a very different view than yours, and you do not begrudge them it.
The best way to practice tolerance is to befriend someone who has a different point of view than yours. It’s very hard to judge another person once you’ve befriended them. So befriend somebody this week that’s slightly different than you, that has a different religion, has a different social background, has different political views. It will open up your life, and it may open up theirs as well, where they will become more tolerant of other people who are different than them. That’s why this week’s inspiration is tolerance, something we all need to practice. It’s all about self-love, people.
