When you are working on returning to self-love, you are going to have to learn to walk in others’ shoes. You do this so you can understand why they behaved the way they have towards you. You do this so you can find compassion and understanding so you can forgive them and be free. We all need to practice what we were taught in Sunday school or the temple, or the mosque. We need to learn to walk in other people’s shoes. We need to understand what these people are feeling when they are behaving in unacceptable ways. Walking in others’ shoes helps you to understand the burden they are carrying. And it helps you to have an open heart and to be compassionate and empathetic.
When you are working on returning to self-love, you are going to have to learn to walk in others’ shoes. And hopefully, carry that forward throughout your entire life. It is all about self-love, people.
