Most of us have heard the saying: Love your neighbors as you love yourself.
If we look around, it is pretty clear with all that is going on in the world, that we don’t love our neighbors. So does that mean we don’t love ourselves?
I would say YES. When you get down to what it actually means to love yourself, there can be no reasonable answer other than we don’t love ourselves and it is being mirrored back to us through our world daily.
When you have done the hard work of removing all that has kept you from self-love, you are compelled by that love to offer it to others.
It is the time we all wake up!
If we truly want to change the world,
So how do we do that?
We start with ourselves. Practice empathy and compassion with yourself. Remove the lies that you are not good enough or worthy or loved. Heal the wounds that keep your heart constricted. Then you can rest securely in self-love and offer that same love to others.
Then and only then can we love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
And what a wonderful peaceful world it will be.
It is possible but, it must begin with YOU.
