When working on returning back to self-love, you’re going to have to look at your relationship with the divine. Whether you call it God, Goddess, the Universe, or the big kahuna, I really don’t care what you call it. But you’re going to have to look at your relationship with the divine. Most of us were taught how the divine sees us and our place in the world because of the divine.
Who is God to you? Now most people who taught us this don’t know anything more than we do. So isn’t it about time that we made the decision of who the divine is for ourselves? If the divine sees you as worthy of love. Sees you as having a loving heart, and that you are good enough, and that you matter to the universe. Then the divine is on your side. And once you have the divine on your side, it is much easier to return to self-love. It’s all about self-love, people.
Note: If you have been taught that God helps some and punishes others, you need to deconstruct this lie. If you prefer to believe that god is unconditional love, that lie goes against this truth. In a way, some people are doing exactly what the ancient Greeks did – seeing god as loving and seeing god as a being that can destroy us if we do something wrong. Unconditional love means unconditional! What is the divine to you?
