Resilience is the ability to “Bounce Back” from difficult experiences. Resilience is a necessary trait in a well-rounded human being, and it is vital to grow and evolve. I have never met anyone who has not faced challenges or obstacles that must be overcome. We yell, shout, or cry when we first see the challenge or obstacle, but eventually, we roll up our sleeves and begin to work on removing the challenge. We call upon our resilience – our ability to bounce back after difficult times. It builds our resilience to higher levels every time we confront and overcome a challenge. This is why resilience inspires me.
Typically, I can bounce back. I can have a challenge arrive on my doorstep, go into meditation to calm myself, and find the answer I need to change the situation or at least begin to change the situation. Resilience inspires me. Now my sister was a little bit different. She could have a dark time arrive and get stuck in anger – anger on why this happened -or angrily blaming someone for the condition or angry that the dark time came at all.
I was losing people around me, and I suddenly found myself back in Texas and out of New York. However, I did fall into self-pity and self-doubt. I could not see any way out of the dark times. Perhaps that is why this period scared me so much – I had always bounced back before, but this time I felt immovable. The good news is I was movable thanks to my Higher Self and guides. I did begin to put one foot in front of the other, and even though I had no idea why writing about my spiritual journey would make me bounce back, I did it, and it did make me bounce back in more significant ways than I could have imagined. Again resilience inspires.
Self-love not only makes us feel better, but it is the glue that keeps you together even when you feel you are being pulled apart – which was what I felt during those dark times. I can only say I am glad I didn’t do that. Yes, I was in pain and fear, and yes, I wanted to throw my hands up into the air and say I was done, but my self-love gave me an ounce of faith and courage to try something new. I was slowly beginning to find my resilience. Resilience is not only our way to bounce back from challenges, but it is a gift we give ourselves as we play this game of consciousness -knowing no matter how hard life hits us, we can always bounce back. We can always find our resilience. And that is why Resilience inspires.
